      Sullivan's brief summary of topics: 1953-1955 at Cavendish; theory of radio sources, mainly synchrotron; Cambridge attitudes; use of log n-log s; general comments on "standard opinion." Note: the tape containing the second part of this interview was stolen with the tape recorder on 11 September 1976, and Burbidge was re-interviewed in 1979.

  • Interviewed 22 May 1979 at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Tucson, Arizona, length of interview: 60 minutes.
      Sullivan's brief summary of topics: 1953-1960s on theory of radio emission, especially synchrotron, in galactic background and especially in radio sources; log n-log s and other cosmological controversies; Cambridge group and "belief" in science; energetics of radio sources and quasars.
