NRAO/AUI Radio Astronomy Image Contest

PRIZES AWARDED

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory and Associated Universities, Inc. are pleased to announce the winners of the First Annual Radio Astronomy Image Contest. A total of 41 images were submitted by 21 scientists and artists. NRAO/AUI wish to thank all of the participants in this Contest for their submissions.

The entries were printed at their natural size using 300 dpi and labelled with a number. The Panel of Judges included Claire Chandler (NRAO), Kelsey Johnson (University of Virginia), Mark Adams (NRAO), Tim Bastian (NRAO) and was chaired by Juan Uson (NRAO).

The Panel met on October 4, 2005 and awarded the prizes to the following Images (click on a thumbnail for a larger version, click on a title for the corresponding entry in the Image Gallery):
