Second NRAO/AUI Radio Astronomy Image Contest

PRIZES AWARDED

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory and Associated Universities, Inc. are pleased to announce the winners of the Second Annual Radio Astronomy Image Contest. A total of 13 images were submitted. NRAO/AUI wish to thank all of the participants in this Contest for their submissions.

The entries were printed after removing any identification of the author's names and labelled with a number. The Panel of Judges included Claire Chandler (NRAO), John Hibbard (NRAO), Karen O'Neil (NRAO), Kelsey Johnson (University of Virginia) and Tim Bastian (NRAO).

The Panel met on September 27, 2006 and awarded the prizes to the following Images (click on a thumbnail for a larger version, click on a title for the corresponding entry in the Image Gallery):
