Community Open House at the NRAO in Charlottesville

Open House

Sunday, April 27, 2008 • 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

  • FREE admission and parking

For ages 5-15 - Complete your "Passport to the Universe" and enter the drawing to win a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. Drawing will be held at 3:45 p.m. Must be present to win.

In the evening, there will be a special open house at UVa's McCormick Observatory from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Weather permitting, viewing through all of the telescopes will be possible. In addition, there will be audio-visual presentations, museum exhibits, and tours of the Observatory.

We want to thank the members of the Charlottesville Astronomical Society and the Albemarle Amateur Radio Club for participating in this year's open house!
