Summer Hours: Memorial Day weekend
through Labor Day
Open Daily: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Fall Hours: Tuesday after Labor Day
through October
Open Thurs-Mon. 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Winter - Spring Hours: November 1 - Friday prior to Memorial Day: Open Thurs-Mon. 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Closed Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day; New Years Eve, New Years Day; Easter Sunday)

The Green Bank Science Center has something for everyone: interactive exhibits about science and technology, fun programs and activities, and outstanding tours of the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope. In addition to providing educational experiences for our visitors, we create field trip experiences that meet national science education standards and state-based science learning goals.
