New Initiatives Office

Mission Statement: The New Initiatives Office works with the astronomical community to develop and realize collaborations for future radio telescopes that will enable forefront scientific research.

The NRAO participates in a variety of future telescope projects. Its roles include activities such as telescope concept development, technical research to enable future telescopes to be built, technical and scientific collaboration in ongoing projects, or hosting of externally led programs on NRAO sites. All these activities are aimed and fulfilling the above mission statement, and making research opportunities available to the broad scientific community.
