Description:Since around 1980 the NRAO Site Business Managers have taken turns hosting a group meeting. Attendees at the early meetings were business managers only from what were then our four sites: Green Bank, Charlottesville, Tucson, and Socorro. Meeting attendance has expanded to include attendees from Administration, Human Resources, Program Management, Fiscal, the Office of Chilean Affairs, and AUI management, and the group now includes numerous women. Meetings are held held twice a year. A golf tournament, instituted when AD for Administration Jim Desmond arrived at NRAO and continued through the tenures of George Clark and Ted Miller, was for many years an antidote to dealing with policies, procedures, budgets, and other weighty matters.
